12+ Weird Things People Tried To Sell Online

Online marketplaces have popped up everywhere lately. They're a great way for people to sell their new or used things. The same goes for those who are looking for a bargain.

Having said that, you oughta be careful what you buy online because not everything is as good as it sounds. Some things people are selling through those venues are questionable, to say the least.

1. This Mattress

Hmm, why would anybody think they can sell a mattress that looks as terrible as this? Just put it up to the curb and hope that the garbage collectors take it off your hands. That would honestly be my move.

2. This Fridge

Yes, it’s a Sub-Zero. They’re stupidly expensive. But if I’m paying $4K, I’m expecting a unit clean enough to eat off of and not covered in black mold. Wow, I can't believe somebody didn't even bother to clean it.

3. This "Van Gogh" Painting

OMG, ha, ha can you believe that? "Probably not the original one" — I can't stop laughing at that. Yeah, that's right. If it was a real van Gogh it would go for a lot more than just two hundred bucks.

4. These Used Coffins

Ladies and gentlemen, I think we have a winner here. I can honestly say I've never seen anything weirder or more creepy being sold online, like, ever. This is beyond my wildest imagination for sure. What do you think?

5. These Slightly Dirty AirPods

Can someone explain to me the thought process behind trying to sell your dirty, used AirPods for $80 on Facebook Marketplace that you didn’t even bother to take a Q-tip to? That's so unsanitary, to say the least.

6. This Centerpiece

Are you looking for a unique wedding centerpiece? Well, you might have found it here. I might actually have to take it for the cherries. After all, they are my ultimate favorite, hee, hee. But the shoes would have to go.

7. These Noodles

If by "rare" they mean "a grossly overpriced bag of ramen noodles," then they would be about right. I dunno about you, but I think somebody is pretty much pulling our leg here with this listing. They oughta be.

8. This Signed Gem

I don't want to offend any Nickelback fans out there but I honestly don't think anybody is going to pay $75 for these used tennis shoes. If they do, then they're even crazier than I thought they were.

9. This "Yummy" Treat

This is definitely perfect for those special occasions when you don't know what to make for your guests. You can pretty much guarantee that they have never seen anything like this before. This is the grossest thing I've seen for sure.

10. This Empty Bottle

I dunno, Don Julio must be some kind of rare booze bottle since this person thinks they can get $200 for it. I don't think I would even pay that much if the booze was still in it.

11. This Bargain Car

Some people are really delusional or something. Case in point here, this person is trying to sell a totaled Hyundai for $6500. And they have the gall to say the title is clear. Are they on something?

12. These "Real" Converse Sneakers

Do you want real Converse sneakers for free? You got it. The only problem is that they may come with some warts from the previous owner. But don't worry. Apparently, they've been treated with rainwater, ha, ha!

13. This 'Rare' Chicken Donut Tender

It seems that these days people tend to abuse the word "rare." Don't you think? I mean, just how rare is this? Are they kidding me? And they want to trade it for a pickup truck or motorcycle! LOL!

14. This Decked-Out Toilet

If you've always wanted to sit on a throne made of money, today is your lucky day. For only $60 this "money" toilet seat can be all yours. Hmm, I think I'll take a hard pass here.

15. This Baby High Chair

Is it just me or does this used baby high chair give you the heebie-jeebies, too? It looks so weathered you'd think it was used in a haunted house or something. No, thank you. Next!

16. This Salad Roll

It really baffles me that some people will sell half-eaten food on Facebook Marketplace. If you don't want to finish it, at least save the leftovers for later or something. This makes no sense.

17. This Recliner

The person who listed this stated that this was stained but cleaned. Oh, well, thanks for that, but I still wouldn't take it even if it was free. This is something that should go straight to the curb.

18. This "Bedazzled" Bottle Of Ranch Dressing

So, I know that Etsy is a great place to buy handmade items. I've bought some awesome stuff there. But it still doesn't explain the need to bedazzle an empty bottle of ranch dressing.

19. This Remodeled Car

OMG, just what kind of gem do we have here? I don't know what's worse, the fluorescent yellow color or the fact that they made this sedan into a truck! I would be embarrassed to drive that, ha, ha!

20. This Toilet

The way I look at this, it isn't really a toilet. It's just a bucket that's been retrofitted to serve as a toilet. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is pretty disgusting. I wouldn't touch this with a 10-foot pole.

21. This Ketchup Packet

Um, okay, why would you pay $10 for a so-called "extremely full ketchup packet" when you can get one at McDonald's for free? Oh, what will people think of next? I just don't understand this.

22. This Couch

I have some advice for the person who's trying to sell this used couch. Next time, take the snow off of it before you take the picture. We know you're lazy but you can't be that lazy, lol.

I don't know if these unusual listings have put me off of looking at online marketplaces or if they have piqued my interest even more, ha, ha!
