That on-screen chemistry wasn't just for show. These two hit it off in real-life shortly after meeting.

Sadly, they broke up two years after this. Playing an on-screen couple wasn't easy post-breakup. It actually caused some issues in real life.

"We were a little like, ‘We were trying to end the relationship and it kept falling back in,'" she said in an interview with Haute Living.

"We got over it really fast, and we’re closer than ever now. It could have gone either way, and I was really proud of us.”

Their engagement wasn't the only thing that was short-lived. They ended up getting married months later in an intimate New Year's Eve ceremony.

Kaley filed for divorce 21 months later.

"I honestly thought I wouldn't get married again," Cuoco revealed in a May 2018 interview with Cosmopolitan.

"My ex ruined that word for me. I married someone the first time who completely changed," she said. Yikes!

"And that wasn't my fault — that was his. I knew how much I had to give and how much I wanted to receive."

Thankfully, she eventually met her current husband, Karl Cook.

Shortly after their nuptials, Kaley got a tattoo of their wedding date (December 31, 2013) in Roman numerals on her back.

But after their messy split, she wanted to erase all memories of her and Ryan, starting with the tattoo.

When asked by Ellen DeGeneres why she picked a bug, she said, "Because it was big enough to cover the numbers...the wings. Big wings," she joked.

"It's just what I picked out when I was there."

The pair met at a horse show in 2016.

"I finally found my horse guy. It was very meant to be," she said while on The Talk.

Given their love of horses, it was a natural choice for the couple to get married in a horse stable.

Cuoco and Cook delivered their own wedding vows and the pair were married by Kaley's sister, Briana Cuoco.

Suffice to say, they have a very unconventional marriage.

"We have a very unconventional marriage, you know, we have different locations that we are at a lot," Kaley told E!.

"We are not together every single day, and I think personally, it's important. It works well for us," she said.
