If you've been on TikTok lately, odds are you've come across this adorable, quirky little cat who's quickly taken the internet by storm. And if you haven't been on TikTok lately... Well, let's just say you're missing out.
Rex is a sweet ball of feline fluff who's become a viral sensation, thanks to all the videos of him expertly standing and walking upright on his back two legs, just like a person.
Unfortunately, his front two paws, along with his tail, were frozen off and a result, he's had to learn how to walk without them.
But I think it's safe to say this cutie has definitely overcome this adversity, because now he's an absolute pro at getting around using just his back paws. And the internet is obsessed with him for it.
On his official TikTok page, there are plenty of videos showcasing his unique talents, which include climbing off chairs (he prefers to go backwards), jumping between furniture, and even going down stairs, which he does by using a combination of his front "stumps" and his back legs.
In the comments section, people have made it very clear just how much they love little Rex.
"Kittens are so special and entitled as it is," one person wrote. "When I see a very special kitty like this, I get tears! What a privilege to be able to care for [him]."
Someone else added, "I'm crying at how cute he is."
"Poor baby," one person wrote. "Just carry him everywhere."
Another person chimed in, "I wouldn't let him struggle like that."
However, as one user pointed out, "He doesn't need help. He's able to do it by himself. [It] just takes him a bit longer."
However, in a video demonstrating that slide in action, Rex's parents explained that while it definitely got him down the stairs a lot faster, "he doesn't like it."
Indeed, Rex is much too independent and prefers doing things himself, even if that means it'll take him a bit longer.
