Peanut Butter Whiskey Exists And We're Going Nuts Over It

Peanut butter goes so well on so many things. On a sandwich with jelly, for one; in a cup mixed with chocolate or a cookie sprinkled with sea salt. Heck, it even just works on an index finger, am I right?

But one place we're not used to seeing it is in whiskey. Yet, we recently spotted it in a grocery store in all its aromatic glory: Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey. Yeah, we went a bit nuts.

It's rich, it's creamy, and it's utterly unique. We're ready to put the others aside (ahem, Fireball) and usher in something smoother, sweeter, and altogether peanut buttery-er for the holiday season.

There's nothing screwy about this.

These peanut buttery dreams were developed by Skrewball as a celebration of an unlikely pairing.

With their popular hashtag #GetSkrewed, they encourage their customers to live on edge and take chances, even when it means going against the grain with a seemingly odd drink.

This nutty concoction was born out of some classic bar orders.

Created by Steven and Brittany Yeng, a husband-and-wife duo who own a watering hole in Ocean Beach, California, the combination of whiskey and peanut butter was originally a shot they created for customers. But over time, the duo realized it would make for a great spirit, and Skrewball was born.

It would, of course, work well in a PB&J shot or mixed with a banana liqueur, but on its own, it's a nutty delight.

The blend is simple, yet effective — it's whiskey blended with peanut butter flavoring.

It boasts notes that combine hazelnut tones with peanut butter, making it a special combination of sweet and savory, packed with that classic whiskey charm. So yeah, it packs a punch.
