Quotes For When ‘Pandemic Fatigue’ Is The Perfect Excuse

It's rolling along into the 2020 holiday season and can I admit something to you guys?

I don't think 2021 is going to be much of an improvement.

Don't get me wrong. I have plenty of hope that things will begin to turn around and 2021 won't entirely be the same sort of dumpster fire we currently find ourselves in.

However, I am also a realist and every time a friend says how they just can't wait for 2021, I raise an eyebrow.

Ultimately, the general suck that is current events isn't beholden to our tradition of carving time into manageable chunks.

If the suck wants to linger until a random day in early April, or mid-August, or wait until the next leap year, it's going to do it.

We just have to do our best to muddle through.

Survival mode is real and it's hard, but we should come out the other side knowing at least a bit more about ourselves than we did before.

That could result in major life changes, or it could be something smaller, but still significant to you.

In my case, I've learned to be okay with not being on top of the household chores, even when I technically have more time to get such things done. The crumbs on the counter and the dishes in the sink can wait.

It's not like I'm having company over any time soon, anyway.
