Tyler Perry Donates Meals To 5,000 Families This Thanksgiving

Tyler Perry is truly a class act. Throughout the entirety of this pandemic, the actor, writer, producer, and director has been spreading kindness to as many people as he can.

Now, with the upcoming holiday season, Tyler is going above and beyond to make sure as many Americans as possible have a happy and plentiful Thanksgiving.

For those who don't know, this Thanksgiving giveaway is far from the first generous thing the 51-year-old has done for his community.

Back in April, the Hollywood heavyweight picked up takeout at Houston's restaurant in Atlanta and tipped each unemployed server $500!

With 42 servers in total, the tip came to a whopping $21,000!

That's not all! In April, Tyler picked up the tab at 70 grocery stores for elderly customers!

This meant that almost 3,000 senior shoppers got their groceries paid for by the generous actor.

Now, Tyler is extending his generosity to 5,000 families for the upcoming Thanksgiving holidays!

"We are excited to announce the #TPSGiving Food Giveaway event on Sunday, November 22nd from 8:00am to 12:00pm," the Tyler Perry Studios account tweeted this past weekend.

"First come, first serve of 5,000 families while supplies last. Although we wish that we could feed everyone in need we will close the line at the 5,000th family," the poster read.

"During this drive-up event we will be distributing non-perishable food items and gift cards to people who are in need during this holiday season. See you there!" the tweet concluded.

Naturally, the incredibly generous display garnered a lot of positive feedback on social media.

I honestly don't see why every celebrity isn't doing this!

Unsurprisingly, the amazing news spread fast and thousands of low-income families began lining up.

Atlanta’s Fox 5 reported that cars started lining up on Saturday afternoon and eventually the line became so long it caused traffic backups.

Videos of the backed up traffic began flooding social media.

Fox 5 spoke with Jeanette Walton. Jeanette was the first person in line after arriving at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

"I’ve been blessed in where my job has allowed me to work from home, but still I’ve had other family members that have lost jobs and had to move in," she explained.

"That’s really why I’m here because when you have to take on the burden of others, you find yourself in need yourself."

It's truly so amazing that one man has fed thousands of people this holiday season! He is truly a class act!

This generosity is something that should be a leading example for every BILLIONAIRE around, especially during these incredibly difficult times.
