There is no denying that the Queen has good taste — it's easy when you're a universal trendsetter, and also, very rich!
So when I heard HRH would be launching her own brand of small-batch gin, I was intrigued to say the least.
I mean, who better to tell me how to be classy and drunk at the same time?!
However, I've had a feeling for a long time that the Queen was a lot more fun than she let off.
I mean sure, you can't eat garlic around her, but I just knew she liked to have a good time, and guess what everyone?!
I WAS RIGHT!
WELL, I should have known. Half of The Crown series is just the Royal family getting drunk.
Now, the Queen is putting her 94 years worth of experience to use as she launches her own line of small-batch gin.
It's the Sandringham estate, to be clear. Normally, this house is just reserved for Christmas festivities. Wouldn't that be nice? A house that is just for Christmas?!
If I was the Queen, would have a house just for hiding myself away from everyone and everything. I would also hide my good snacks in there so my greedy husband stops eating them all!
According to the Sandringham Estate's website, the locally distilled gin "includes Sharon fruit, a woody tree related to ebony, also known as the Chinese Persimmon and foliage from myrtle plants."
FOLIAGE — YUM!
"The foliage from myrtle plants also grown on the Estate, originated from a cutting taken from Princess Alexandra’s wedding bouquet on her marriage to Prince Albert Edward, who later became King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra."
That's a really classy way of telling us how good it will taste to get drunk on!
That seems like a very reasonable price to obtain our very own, tiny piece of the Royal family in our glass!
