Michael Jordan Donates $2 Million To Food Banks Across The Country

There's got to be no better feeling in the world when you're a celebrity with a ton of wealth than giving back to those less fortunate than you, especially during difficult times like so many of us are facing right now.

Michael Jordan has given back in a huge way through a $2 million donation to food banks across the country.

We all know Michael Jordan for his status as a basketball legend.

MJ made history as one of the greatest basketball players of all time during his career spanning (on and off) from 1984 to 2003.

He's also incredibly rich due to his career and his business ventures, but he's definitely not selfish with all his earnings — he just donated $2 million dollars to food banks through Feeding America!

"In these challenging times and in a year of unimaginable difficulty due to COVID-19, it's more important than ever to pause and give thanks," Michael said in a statement.

"I am proud to be donating additional proceeds from The Last Dance to Feeding America and its member food banks in the Carolinas and Chicago to help feed America's hungry," his statement read.

"An incredible gift to be thankful for – NBA legend Michael Jordan is donating $2 million to help our neighbors facing hunger!" Feeding America shared.

"Every action makes a difference. Join Michael & visit http://FeedingAmerica.org/COVID19 to learn how you can donate or volunteer this holiday season," they tweeted.

What an amazing gesture!
