This Cat Named Merlin Is The Fluffiest, Angriest Kitty We've Ever Seen

I'm kind of over the trend of people trying to dub every slightly-miffed-looking kitty the "new Grumpy Cat," especially since the sad passing of the original.

Many cats have the grumpy look mastered, but that doesn't mean they'll ever have the same sort of cultural cache that Grumpy Cat enjoyed.

That's okay.

Merlin here wouldn't be impressed with such notoriety anyway.

Not that he's ever impressed with much.

Merlin is part ragdoll, part Himalayan, which gives him an incredible amount of sheer floof.

He's also got one of the best feline Resting Bitch Faces I've ever seen.

Whether it's posing for pictures, the presence of his humans or animal siblings, or just...you know, life, Merlin is always unimpressed.

He wasn't born with his epic glare.

One of my favorite posts on his Instagram page is the timeline of his growth from wide-eyed kitten to angry fluff.

Seriously, it gets funnier every time I watch it.

Ragdoll cats are known for their friendly, affectionate personalities.

Himalayans are also pretty chill, but are known for some moodiness, so maybe Merlin just takes after that side of his family tree.

I love him to pieces, but also wouldn't want to wake up to those piercing eyes first thing in the morning.
