Quotes For People Who Have Lost All Sense Of Time

Do you guys remember when we all first went into lockdown and March felt like it last an entire decade, and then we sort of just stumbled our way through the rest of 2020 in a blur of face masks, hand sanitizer, and Tiger King memes?

Do you remember thinking that once we were out of that hell hole of a year, we'd regain our sense of time?

Yeah, that definitely has not happened.

I've been working from home since March last year, and I *still* find myself waking up and wondering what day it is.

And then I wonder that for the rest of the day while hoping it's one of the ones where I'm actually supposed to be working.

Or, if I'm lying on the couch watching Netflix and eating Doritos out of the bag, I'm hoping that it's not a work day.

I figured my lack of a grasp on time was because of 2020 but here we are in 2021, and I'm still not sure what today is.

On some very rare, wonderful occasions, I think it's Monday and find out that no, it's actually Friday (praise be!)

But most of the time, I'm falling asleep at my desk feeling thankful it's Friday before realizing nope, it's actually still Monday, and absolutely no time has passed at all.

Not only am I losing touch with the days of the week, but time during each day has also lost any and all meaning.

Some days zoom past in such a flurry of meetings, schedules, and projects that I'm stunned to find it's actually quitting time.

But, of course, there are also days where I'm on my fourth cup of coffee, it's not even 10 AM yet, and oh yeah, it's still frickin' Monday!!

As for what month it is? Forget about it. I'm barely keeping up as it is.

Maybe one day we'll all recover and we'll be able to say "it's Thursday, January 7th" with confidence again.

But until that time comes, I vote we all follow this Twitter user's lead and we all start referring to time as vaguely as possible, so we're never wrong.

What day is it? Hmm, not sure, but I definitely know we're still in "early month". And that's good enough for me!
