For the last four years, the lack of a dog in the White House has made the animal-loving citizenry more than a little sad.
So when Joe Biden became President-elect, there was extra excitement in knowing that not one, but two very good dogs would be moving in with him.
While his older dog brother Champ had previously lived in the Vice President's residence for eight years, this is Major's first time in the spotlight.
This is a huge moment for rescue dogs, because having a loving, adorable example living in the White House can make a big difference for potential pet owners who worry about the temperament of a shelter dog.
The whole thing will be hosted by the Today Show's Jill Martin and feature special guest Sir Darius Brown, a 14-year-old animal activist known for the bowties he makes for shelter pups.
