'Moving' Tattoo Designs Use Clever Placement To Transform Before Our Eyes

You already know that I'm no novice in terms of tattoo trends and the latest designs, right? Well, I'm happy to report that I found yet another creative idea I think you're going to go gaga over.

Let me introduce you to "moving tattoos." Once you see what this idea entails, you're going to start searching for that masterful artist to perfect it on your body.

What exactly is a "moving tattoo?" Well, the tattoo doesn't exactly move.

The artist inks your skin just as they would do with any other tattoo. However, the idea behind this style revolves around the placement of the tattoo. And also what it does on your body.

When the recipient of the tattoo bends their arms or legs, for example, the drawings appear to be moving.

Or the object looks like it's changing shapes. Take for example a fly that opens and closes its wings. Do you get the idea?

Doesn't that look so cool? I think it's pretty rad.

There are so many different concepts for the subject of your "moving tattoo." I'm going to share a few of them with you so you get the full idea. Okay?

Here's another interesting idea for this type of tattoo.

This one is a bit of a minimalist in nature. But I still think it works really well, especially when you see it move. What do you think? Do you like it?

Apparently, these types of tattoos aren't necessarily harder to do, but they are much harder to plan out.

After all, you need the tattoo to look good in each position you see it. That does seem like it would require a bit more planning.

The trick for the artist is to know where to place the stencil.

That way, when the tattoo moves, it looks perfectly tight. Wow, this looks so cool. It's such a simple idea, but when executed just right, it packs such a punch.

Oh my goodness, this bee looks so realistic here.

And when you make it move, it looks even more so, no? It's such a cool trick to have up your sleeve. I bet it's fun to show a tattoo like this off to everyone.

Wow, this is probably the weirdest moon I've ever seen.

And once it opens up, there's a secret hiding place in there. I would never have thought of creating a design like this one. It's so interesting and unusual, to say the least.

It seems to me that this type of tattoo is perfect for any design that has a which mouth opens up.

It's also best suited for a winged animal. Those two designs look so cool once they become animated by the movement of the person's limbs.

Check out this butterfly. Isn't it so detailed and intricate?

Not only that, but it becomes animated once the person extends their arm here. I've got to admit this is one tattoo trick that's starting to really grow on me. What about you?

Ah, check out this octopus tattoo. Doesn't it look so fun?

I'm absolutely obsessed with these ocean creatures. In fact, I have an octopus tattoo on my ankle. It doesn't move like this, but it's still pretty rad, ha, ha!

Do you want to see this tattoo idea in action?

Well, check this video out. Here you get to see the full effect in all its form. I don't know about you, but it's really awesome and kind of creepy at the same time, hee, hee.

OMG, yikes. The sea creature looks even scarier than the other one, ha, ha.

This whole tattoo moving effect is tripping me out. I wonder who was the first person who came out with this technique of tattooing. It's so different and unique.

So what's the verdict? Would you get a "moving tattoo" like this done on your precious skin?

I would consider it, especially if I could find an artist who specializes in this style of tattooing. It's pretty fascinating to me.
