Rosie O'Donnell Hopes Donald Trump Does Prison Time: 'I Pray To God He Does'

Rosie O'Donnell is "praying" for justice when it comes to her arch-nemesis, Donald Trump.

These two have been feuding for over a decade, but things recently hit a peak following the tragic Capitol Hill protests on January 6.

Now, the actress and comedian is calling for the ultimate swift hand of justice: for Trump to serve time in prison.

It's no secret that Rosie O'Donnell isn't a fan of Donald Trump.

These two have had a feud for over a decade, long before Donald was elected as president of the United States.

Some would say it started in 2006 when Donald decided not to fire Miss USA, Tara Conner, for alleged underage drinking, drug use, and sexual activities.

Rosie, who was one of the hosts on *The View* at the time, openly criticized his decision.

She said that she doesn't "enjoy Trump," accused of him going bankrupt, and said that he's not a "self-made man."

“[He] left the first wife – had an affair. [He] had kids both times, but he’s the moral compass for 20-year-olds in America. Donald, sit and spin, my friend.”

Trump didn't respond to these controversial statements in kind.

He soon fired back via People magazine, saying that O’Donnell is “a real loser” and “a woman out of control.”

“You can’t make false statements. Rosie will rue the words," he said, adding that he would sue her for saying that he went bankrupt.

"Rosie’s a loser. A real loser. I look forward to taking lots of money from my nice fat little Rosie.”

No surprise here: Rosie became one of his most outspoken critics when he ran for office against Hillary Clinton in 2016.

Trump even took the opportunity to attack his arch-nemesis live at a national political event.

“I said very tough things to her and I think everybody would agree she deserves it and nobody feels sorry for her," he said.

Now, things have hit a peak. The actress and comedian believes that Trump should serve prison time for the tragic events of January 6.

As a refresher, thousands of Trump extremists stormed the U.S. Congress building on that date.

As a result, five people died, including one member of law enforcement.

Many have blamed Trump for the attacks due to the words he told his supporters beforehand.

"We’re going to walk down to the Capitol, and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators, and congressmen and women," Trump said before the Capitol assault.

His lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, also said, "Let's have trial by combat."

"We’re probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them because you’ll never take back our country with weakness," Trump continued.

"You have to show strength, and you have to be strong."

This soon led to his supporters waving Trump flags and pushing past law enforcement to show their loyalty.

In an interview with *TMZ*, Rosie shared her thoughts on the whole ordeal.

She began by saying that the events of January 6 were a "terrifying time."

"What happened at the Capitol is something I never thought I'd see in this country and there's no way to equate it to the Black Lives Matter protests."

She believes a hard, swift act of justice is due for the Capitol protests, saying "everyone involved should be punished to the full extent of the law."

When the interviewer mentioned that Donald is attempting to pardon those involved, Rosie said that this is corrupt, as "he's been paid for every single one of them."

"He's a criminal and he has been since he first started in public light, 10 years ago," she continued.

As a criminal in her eyes, Rosie believes that he should serve time in prison.

"I pray to God that he does," she said. "On the 21st I hope."

With Donald soon out of office, Rosie made it clear that she doesn't want any of his family members to gain political power.

When the interviewer listed off some names of his family, she shook her head and adamantly said, "Never happening, no never happening."
