Upcycle An Old Umbrella Into A Whimsical Spring Wreath

Spring is around the corner! As we come out of our winter hibernation, it's time to pack the silver, white, and blue away, and get ready to usher in some pastel colors at last!

Pop that Christmas wreath off the door and get your DIY tools ready, because it's time to make a spring umbrella wreath!

Now that's what I call color!

So, you can clearly see what we meant by umbrella wreath, huh? This sweet craft is actually incredibly easy, even for the DIY newbie (or DIY clumsy, like me).

My personal fave wreath definitely has to be the one that uses a clear umbrella.

There's something so farmhouse chic about being able to see the stems through the transparent plastic of the umbrella, you know? This particular bouquet is so my jam. I love that blush handle.

However, some people have skipped using a pre-made umbrella altogether.

The favorite amongst more advanced DIYers is an entirely handmade "umbrella" using fabric and sticks from your yard (or craft store). They glue the sticks down and even make a handle with the leftovers!

No matter how you put yours together...

It'll bring some much-needed color to the season, which we all could use a little more of right now! Now go forth and DIY, my beautiful crafters.
