Fans Are Angry About Garth Brooks Hugging People At The Inauguration With No Mask

January 20th was a historic day that saw the swearing in of 46th President of The United States, Joe Biden.

Being asked to perform at the inauguration ceremony is a high honor for any musician, as Garth Brooks knows from experience. However, many people were left talking not about Garth's performance of 'Amazing Grace,' but instead his actions as he left the podium.

After performing a moving acapella version of 'Amazing Grace,' Garth left the podium to shake hands with President Biden, Vice President Harris, and former Vice President Pence.

He also quickly moved through the crowd of people to give former Presidents Obama, Clinton, and Bush hugs as well as their wives.

Unfortunately, as noticed by many fans, Garth did not put on his mask before doing so.

Fans took to socia media to express displeasure with this move.

"Garth Brooks, no mask like a boss, just turned this inauguration into a super-spreader event!" tweeted one fan shortly after it occurred.

Given the age of many of the people in attendance, I would be pretty concerned too!

Fans were not happy.

"Garth Brooks gladhanding and hugging and his energy is adorable but I'm the old lady yelling at my TV PUT ON YOUR MASK STOP HUGGING FAVES," one fan shared.

Many fans felt it was a huge error of judgement on Garth's part.

Hopefully, everyone involved was COVID-free!

"Garth Brooks did great singing Amazing Grace. What I found funny he walks away hugging everyone with no mask on happy as can be. I lost it," tweeted a fan.
