GameStop Investor Uses Profits To Donate Nintendo Switches To Children's Hospital

The world has been buzzing over GameStop's recent skyrocketing stock and what it meant for those who made the right investments into the popular video game company.

Many investors collected quite the generous monetary rewards for their investments in the stock, and while many of them used the downfall for themselves or their families, one man decided to use his profits to donate Nintendo Switches to a local children's hospital.

Things were adding up quickly for one college student.

According to Nintendo Life, 20-year-old, Hunter Kahn was able to take home $30,000 from the GameStop stock he had purchased for $30 to $80 per share.

Only purchasing his stocks a month before the GameStop spike, it was amazing to see how much he received so quickly. Being a young student, there are many ways Kahn could have spent his money, but he decided to do something unexpected.

He decided that the real rewards were the games.

Being an avid gamer himself, Kahn felt like the reason he had ever believed in GameStop in the first place was because he had a chance to experience the joy of gaming himself.

He also realized that not all kids have that same opportunity. So, he decided to do what he could to change that.

He wanted to create more opportunity where he could.

As Kahn told ABC News, "It would be meaningless if the money went from one side to the other and we behaved in the way that we're criticizing the top dogs."

He didn't want to continue a cycle of capital greed and excessive wealth devision. He purchased nine Nintendo Switches and nine video games for the kids at the Children's Minnesota hospital.

Actions like this are the true game changers that we need.

The donation process went smoothly. Due to COVID and security regulations, Kahn didn't have the opportunity to hand the games to kids, but his presence was undoubtedly known and appreciated nonetheless. Several news outlets found his story as an inspiration to share with audiences everywhere.
