Alex Trebek's 'Jeopardy!' Wardrobe Is Being Donated To A Homeless Organization
Alex Trebek passed away at the age of 80 years old in November of 2020.
The beloved television figure passed away after a long bout with pancreatic cancer, and millions of fans all over the world grieved the tragic loss.
Alex was known for his kindness, generosity, and spirit, so a recent announcement from the official Jeopardy! Instagram page detailing what will happen to Alex's show wardrobe makes perfect sense.
The post revealed his wardrobe was being donated to an organization benefitting the homeless.
"Jeopardy! and Alex's family have donated a large portion of our late host's wardrobe to @thedoefund, an organization that provides paid work, housing, vocational training, continuing education, and comprehensive social services to underserved Americans with histories of addiction, homelessness, and incarceration," the post read.
They detailed what exactly was being donated.
"The donation includes: 14 suits, 58 dress shirts, 300 neckties, 25 polo shirts, 14 sweaters, 9 sports coats, 9 pairs of dress shoes, 15 belts, 2 parkas, and 3 pairs of dress slacks," they shared.
"The clothes will be distributed to participants in The Doe Fund’s reentry program, 'Ready, Willing and Able' to be worn on job interviews."
"The garments were packed by Matthew Trebek, Alex's son who has been a supporter of the Doe Fund, and Steven Zimbelman, Jeopardy!'s costumer," the post finished.
What an amazing gesture that we're sure Alex would definitely appreciate!
