Little Girl Born In 2020 Thinks Everything Is A Hand Sanitizer Dispenser

Growing up in 2020/2021 is probably one of the hardest challenges to face. Living through a pandemic has been hard on us all — that's for sure. But, imagine being a toddler or a young child living through this. Many young kids learn about routines, socialization, and structure in the early years, but much of that has been put on hold due to COVID-19.

Many young kids only know life with a mask, constantly washing hands, or even being inside and quarantining. Many children have yet to experience the true "childhood moments of fun" yet.

We know that kids are like sponges, too.

Many kids are just like sponges, they absorb everything they hear and see. That's why we're always watching what we say around them.

It's no surprise that kids growing up right now are adapting to the pandemic.

As we're all adapting to the new normal, kids are learning the "new normal" as basically their only normal. Many of them are too young to remember life before the pandemic at all.

To showcase this reality, one little girl is proving that point exactly.

Texas mom Katie Lightfoot recently shared a video on Facebook of her one-year-old daughter who has only grown up and known life in the coronavirus pandemic.

Due to our new routines, Lightfoot's daughter has a new habit.

In the video, Lightfoot shows that her toddler thinks everything she sees that resembles a square or rectangle is a hand sanitizer dispenser.

Seeing as we're all constantly washing our hands, it makes sense!

She bends down outside, goes towards boxes on walls, and puts her hands under everything she sees waiting for hand sanitizer.

She even walks away washing her hands, too.

After "trying to get sanitizer," she then rubs her hands together, as though she is sanitizing her hands. It's really funny and equally adorable.

Obviously, people online are obsessed.

Many said that it's absolutely adorable, but also great to see that adults set positive and good examples for kids that they can pick up on.

Others said that their own children and grandchildren are picking up new routines, too.

Many other Facebook users shared their the children in their life are also picking up new habits, from wearing masks during dress-up to telling their dolls and toys to maintain social distancing.

How funny!
