Mom Creatively Upcycles Men's Shirts Into The Cutest Outfits For Her Kids

Stephanie Miller is the creative mom behind Mother Make, a DIY and lifestyle blog.

Stephanie uses her blog to showcase her amazing upcycled creations. With her sewing skills, she transforms old men's shirts into adorable outfits.

Most of these shirts become cute dresses and overalls for her daughter, but she's also branched out to boys' designs and even some for adults.

Stephanie first began sewing as a way to express her creativity after becoming a mom.

Stephanie explained to Huffington Post that she struggled with postpartum depression after the birth of her first child. Learning to sew gave her a creative hobby that helped her reconnect to her identity.

She got the idea to use men's shirts when her husband was getting rid of a bunch of old clothes.

Since his shirts were still in good condition, Stephanie didn't want them to go to waste.

" I follow some other seamstresses on Instagram and saw some of their refashions and thought, ‘I could try that,’” she said.

This was one of Stephanie's early designs.

The shirt she used was one she had recently given her husband for Christmas but it had shrunk. It found new life as a cute checkered dress for her daughter.

Soon, Stephanie's designs started to take over the internet.

People loved her upcycles, and who wouldn't, especially with her daughters modeling the dresses.

Not only are these outfits too cute for words, but they are affordable and a great way to reuse something that would have been thrown out otherwise.

And, of course, Stephanie's kids love having a wardrobe of DIY clothes.

Stephanie said her kids ask her to make them new clothes all the time and never want to take them off.

That's awesome, especially when kids can be really picky about clothes.

Loving this romper!

Most of Stephanie's creations are dresses but she does experiment with new designs like this plaid romper.

She said it was her first time sewing shorts and I think it turned out great!

She doesn't just make clothes for girls, either.

I am loving this little jumpsuit that she made. It looks so comfy, especially when paired with a hoody underneath. What a great project.

Loving this chic skirt.

Stephanie made herself this chic skirt with a bow belt.

I would have never guessed that this skirt used to be a men's shirt! It looks like it came straight from a department store.

I can't wait to see what Stephanie makes next!
