Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, Bebe Rexha vowed on Twitter that her next album is going to be more honest than anything she's ever put out before.
In keeping with being honest, she also opened up about being diagnosed with bipolar disorder and how it has affected her everyday life.
She said that she would feel low sometimes, unable to leave her house or be around anyone, followed by highs where she couldn't get any sleep or stop focusing on music.
It causes extreme mood swings — emotional highs and lows. The depression causes those affected to lose interest in most activities.
Even something as simple as getting up in the morning can feel like a trial.
The person affected may feel euphoric, energetic, motivated, stimulated, focused, and unusually irritable.
These mood swings affect sleep, energy levels, judgment, behavior and the ability to think clearly.
While some may find coping with it to be extremely difficult, debilitating even, others may not even realize they have bipolar disorder.
In parenthesis, letting us know that she was feeling rather emotional while she wrote these tweets.
She isn't going to hold anything back. Full-on, unadulterated Bebe.
She went on to say that she hopes everyone can accept her the way that she is.
"That's all," she wrote. Then told her fans she loved them — wrapping up her announcement.
Normally, there's at least one judgemental troll on the internet waiting to comment something negative anytime a celebrity writes anything online.
But thankfully, not this time. The kind, supportive, encouraging messages came flooding in — it was a sight to see.
They went on to say that it's much easier to get through something like this knowing that so many other people are there to support her.
Adding that she is a legend and that she deserves the world.
They went on to say that the disorder can be managed with therapy and medication, and that is nothing to be ashamed of.
And that no one should judge her for it — they should pay more attention to what an incredible talent she is.
They went on to explain that everyone is different and has their own "things going on", and that all we can do is accept those things — so long as it isn't causing any harm to others.
This person wrote that they love her for standing up for what's right and being a genuine person.
Just goes to show that everyone, even celebrities are only human — facing their own struggles.
