Every state has a thing it's known for and forever associated with, like South Dakota and Mount Rushmore, Maine and lobsters, and Florida and Disney World. Of course, for Idaho, it's potatoes. They're versatile vegetables — mashed, boiled, baked, fried, or hashed and browned, they're a staple at every meal — but they're not the most exciting things.
But you can't say that Idaho hasn't made the most of their taters!
