Miley Cyrus has let the world know several times in her adult life that her Hannah Montana days are long gone.
But in a recent interview with Elle, she opened up about the very moment she realized she was ready to hang her wig for good.
Naturally, as an adult, she was tired of being pigeon-holed as a pre-teen Disney pop star.
She acknowledged that fans were probably looking forward to a Hannah-inspired skit, but she didn't let them down easy.
"She was murdered."
She really did not hold back on that one.
While we all assumed she would simply say she outgrew that era of her life, she had something else in mind.
"A lot of drugs," she sharply responded.
So yeah, it's been abundantly clear that Miley is very much over being "Hannah Montana" and possibly even just hearing about it?
She also divulged the exact moment she knew she had outgrown the role.
Did you see that episode? Insane.
"I read it and was like, 'It’s not even if I’m interested or not. It’s just that no one else can play this because this is my life. Like, you just took my life.'"
"And at times, I’ve definitely felt like Ashley O," she added.
Miley responded, revealing that as soon as she became an adult she felt silly continuing to play "Hannah".
"The minute I had sex, I was kind of like, I can’t put the [expletive] wig on again. It got weird."
To better explain her revelation, she told an anecdote about a time she performed at Disneyland.
Okay fist of all, traumatizing.
She compared it to her 2010 bong scandal that left the parents of her young, impressionable fans up in arms.
"It was a bad decision, because of my fans and because of what I stand for," she admitted in a 2011 interview with Marie Claire.
"That’s how everyone felt with the bong video, but I’m not a Disney mascot," she said. "I’m a person."
Here she is at her wedding pretending to smoke her bridal bouquet.
"I’m in a hetero relationship, but I still am very sexually attracted to women...I made a partner decision. This is the person I feel has my back the most."
"I definitely don’t fit into a stereotypical wife role. I don’t even like that word.
"We’ve been doing the same thing to the earth that we do to women. We just take and take and expect it to keep producing. And it’s exhausted. It can’t produce. We’re getting handed a piece-of-sh*t planet, and I refuse to hand that down to my child," confessed Miely.
"I feel like that’s what all millennials are dealing with right now. Yeah. We don’t want to reproduce because we know that the earth can’t handle it."
