In 2017, Beth was diagnosed with throat cancer. Earlier this year, after being rushed to the hospital, Beth was re-diagnosed and informed that her cancer had spread.
The funeral was held and live-streamed on July 13th from Aurora, Colorado. The funeral included speeches from various friends and family members, including Dog himself.
"I met Beth, I posted her bond for stealing a lemon," Dog recounted, to amusement from the gathered crowd. "She walked into the office and I thought, oh, yes, she will be mine."
Dog continued on, saying, "I cannot believe she's gone. This is not possible," and adding that he'd do "five years, ten years [in prison] just to kiss her again."
Dog explained that when the pastor was settling on the vows, Beth had made them take out the line "til death do us part" because, in her words, "you're not off the hook!"
While doing a Q&A session on her Instagram, Bonnie Jo was asked if she thought her father would ever remarry, and Bonnie Jo's answer was simple.
"No one can ever replace her in his heart," she wrote candidly, "Their love was one of a kind, it made me believe love truly exists."
"She will never be dead to me … she is in another place. If there’s a God, he won’t let me live that long without her."
