Eva Longoria Breaks Silence About Felicity Huffman's College Admissions Scandal Involvement

For all celebrities involved in the College Admissions Scandal, it has been a long and tough year. Most celebrity parents who are accused of being involved have remained silent, and very few celebrity friends have come out in support.

Felicity Huffman is one of the actresses involved in the scandal.

In May, Felicity pleaded guilty to her part in the scandal. She admitted to paying Rick Singer fifteen thousand dollars to improve one of her daughter's SAT scores.

Singer's scheme involved feigning learning disabilities to provide the teenagers with more time to write the test.

However, Felicity maintained that her daughter's learning disabilities were real. "I just didn't want to create the impression that the neuro-psychologist had any part in this because, like my daughter, she didn't have any knowledge of my involvement," she told the judge.

As part of her plea deal, it was recommended Felicty serve four months in prison.

She might also face a $20, 000 fine. Sentencing will occur on September 13th. Felicity apologized to her daughter for her involvement, saying, "I am ashamed of the pain I have caused my daughter, my family, my friends, my colleagues and the educational community."

"I want to apologize to them and, especially, I want to apologize to the students who work hard every day to get into college."

"And to their parents who make tremendous sacrifices to support their children and do so honestly," Felicity's statement continued.

"My daughter knew absolutely nothing about my actions, and in my misguided and profoundly wrong way, I have betrayed her."

"This transgression toward her and the public I will carry for the rest of my life. My desire to help my daughter is no excuse to break the law or engage in dishonesty."

Felicity's 'Desperate Housewives' co-star, Eva Longoria, has spoken up in support of Felicity.

"I think she has a heart that is bigger than the sun and that's the Felicity I know and that's the woman I choose to support and love," Eva said.

Candace Cameron-Bure, the 'Full House' co-star of one of the other famous names involved in the scandal, Lori Loughlin, also supported her.

Candace, famous for playing DJ Tanner on Full House and Fuller House left a supportive comment on the post. Bure has made it clear before that she supports Lori in this time, saying during her Kids' Choice Award acceptance speech earlier in the year that "a loving family sticks together no matter what. They stick together through the hard times, they support each other."
