Alright, alright, alright! Today I'm talking about yet another live-action remake, and in fact, it's the first one that's coming to the new Disney+ service!
It is... Lady And The Tramp.
Alright, alright, alright! Today I'm talking about yet another live-action remake, and in fact, it's the first one that's coming to the new Disney+ service!
It is... Lady And The Tramp.
When they're not making the most money of all time with a superhero movie (see: Avengers: Endgame and it's copious amounts of money)...
The most recent in the bunch was The Lion King, which I'm certain has also made all the money in the world.
Where they're going to take on titans like Netflix and Hulu with all sorts of sweet original programming... and some more Disney remakes.
Lady And The Tramp! So move over lions, it's the dog's turn to shine!
Today, we're going to be looking at the human cast and the dog cast for each character!
First off is the titular Tramp, who after much research I have discovered is just named "Tramp".
He's played by Monte, a rescue dog who is just the cutest. Look at his eyes!
He's been in stuff like At Home with Amy Sedaris (pictured here) and Strangers With Candy.
Hopefully, he can get across Tramp's signature "trampiness".
Next on the docket, we have lady, who is just as cute (if not cuter) than she was in the original.
She's played by a very talented cocker spaniel named Rose.
We all know good ol' Tessa Thompson! That is if you're a Marvel fan (which, statistically, you probably are).
For those of you who don't, she's been in two major franchises recently, namely the new Men In Black movie and Thor: Ragnarok.
Next is the little Scottish Terrier, who's dog actor (who is unnamed at this time) will most likely bring all the feist and energy as his animated counterpart.
While the male to female switch might be too much for diehard Lady and The Tramp fans, people who loved the show Extras will be delighted!
Look at that goofy face! Tramp's bulldog buddy (who is aptly named, if I do say so myself) will be played by this adorable little guy.
I'm sure he'll do amazingly.
You'll recognize Bull's actor if you're a Marvel fan, too!
You'll know Benedict Wong as... well, Wong from Doctor Strange. You know, his pal that also does a bunch of cool magic.
While she might not look as... erm... how do I put this... sensual (yuck, sorry about that) as her animated counterpart, this little doggy is going to do just fine as Peg.
Janelle MonĂ¡e, who will hopefully be singing that catchy as heck "He's a Tramp" song in the new live-action version.
Otherwise, it won't really be Lady And The Tramp, would it?
And finally, we have the wise bloodhound with a dimmed sense of smell, Trusty.
Hopefully, his dog actor can get across how sad he is to be losing his best sense.
Just guess, go ahead.
Who would be the best to lend a slow, Southern drawl to a sad bloodhound? If you said anyone other than Sam Elliot, then you don't have a soul.
What do you think? Are you excited to see their fuzzy-wuzzy little faces on screen? Or are you sick and tired of watching Disney live-action remakes? How could you be the latter though?
Who doesn't like dogs?
