It's the end of an era.

TMZ reports that Kim Kardashian has officially filed for divorce from husband Kanye West.

While rumors of the pair splitting have been circulating for months now, the news has now been confirmed.

Fans of Kimye will remember the pair tied the knot back in 2014.

Since then, the couple grew their family to include four beautiful children.

According to TMZ, the split is as amicable as can be.

The publication reports Kim is asking for joint legal and physical custody of the couple's children.

Sources close to the couple tell TMZ Kanye is good with the joint custody arrangement, and they're told both Kim and Kanye are committed to co-parenting together.

After watching Kim infamously marry and divorce Kris Humphries over the span of 72 days, fans were happy Kim had seemingly found her happily ever after with Kanye.

The past few months have been rocky for the famous couple.

People have been taking to social media to express their sympathies for the couple.

After years of public declarations of love, fans felt invested in the pair's love affair.

"I wish Kim and Kanye blissful divorce proceedings. Conscious uncoupling like Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin," tweeted one fan.

People also hoped Kanye would take care of himself and his mental health.

"Kim was clearly instrumental in keeping Kanye in some sort of check the past few years. hope he’s okay and gets the help he needs moving forward," tweeted one fan.

We're wishing the best for the young family during this difficult time.
