Facebook User Shares Genius Shaving Cream Hack To Clean Car Seats

We know that a carseat can take a beating. Am I right? There's usually a build-up of dirt, dust, crud, and stains on your seats.

If this ever happens to you, I've got some good news. Apparently, there's a simple hack to get your seats all cleaned up and looking like new. Check this out!

Anastasia Darlene Lakin recently shared something amazing with people on Facebook.

After a recent camping trip, she found her car's seats in pretty crummy condition. So she decided to put a hack she heard about to the ultimate cleaning test.

The hack goes something like this: you can use shaving cream to clean your car's seats.

Um, what? Have you ever heard of such a thing? I have to admit, I have not. Could this trick actually work? Let's find out.

This lady got one of those scented shaving creams.

Then she sprayed it and rubbed it over the seats with her hands. I bet she probably used the whole can. I would be surprised if she didn't. After all, you want to make sure you cover it all.

She then proceeded to scrub the whole area with a sponge and warm water.

I don't know about you, but this kind of sounds fun to me. It's almost like you're giving your car a sponge bath, no? Ha, ha!

Her next tip is quite interesting.

She took the filter out of her vacuum. Then, she pretty much vacuumed up any water she could get out. After that, she just let the seats fully dry — and the result surprised even her.

Believe it or not, it actually worked.

This lady's seats were all clean and stain-free. Wow! Are you surprised by that? I have to admit that I am. I wasn't sure if this hack would work out as well as it did.

Many folks on Facebook freaked out over this simple yet seemingly effective hack.

The post got a lot of comments from people who were definitely wowed by this. They want to try this trick on their car's dirty seats.

As usual with these kinds of posts, there were some skeptics.

Some people really wanted to see if it works as well as she describes. I suppose it would have been cool if she had a video. Am I right?

Someone else chimed in to comment on this car seat cleaning remedy.

They suggested that for this to really work, you have to take that extra step and vacuum the seats to suck out all the water out of them.

Otherwise, you're just pushing the stain further down the material.

Then later, the stain will most likely return. Oh, we don't want that to happen. Am I right? All that hard work would then have been for nothing. This is such a good tip.

This lady mentioned that she always does this to her carpet, and it works like a charm.

I hadn't even thought of that. She just gave me a great idea. Our carpet is definitely in need of a good cleaning.

Another person commented that shaving cream works well to remove things like poop.

Ha, ha! This can come in handy if you have a pet or even a pesky baby. I mean, if it works, it works. I think it's worth a try.

This post has since become so popular it actually got over 8,000 likes, and the comments just keep pouring in.

Do you think it actually works? Have you ever heard of it or tried it yourself? I want to get a second opinion or two before I try it out on our car's seats, hee, hee!
