There are some things in life I thought everyone knew about. And no, I'm not talking about how to file taxes or apply for a mortgage. I don't know how to do those things.
I mean like pop culture-inherent knowledge. Like, for example, that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have a younger sister, Elizabeth.
Apparently, however, this is NOT common knowledge!
The show, starring Elizabeth Olsen, is based on the Marvel Comics characters Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch and Vision.
Before WandaVison, Elizabeth was best known for her 2011 performance in the independent thriller drama, Martha Marcy May Marlene.
Elizabeth OLSEN is the younger sister of iconic twin duo Mary-Kate and Ashley OLSEN!
If you can believe it, there's only a two-year age gap between the twins (34) and Elizabeth (32). It feels like they have existed in such different worlds!
While chatting with Grazia magazine, the 32-year-old acknowledged the privilege she had, starting off in the industry with an established last name.
"And of course, I’ve always wanted to do it alone."
This wasn't the first time Elizabeth explained how her sisters have helped her career.
"There are always ways you can be private — my sisters are intimately private and I respect that. They showed me that you can be private, but also accessible to journalists, for those reasons," she explained.
"It was always very clear that acting was a job; I never had this twinkly fantasy of people taking photographs of me."
Elizabeth truly couldn't have better role models with regard to privacy — we hardly see MK+ Ash at all anymore!
"I just found out that Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) from the Marvel universe is literally a [expletive] Olsen sister?! Like Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen are her sisters. Wow," tweeted one surprised fan.
"I am probably going to learn that Elizabeth Olsen is related to Mary Kate and Ashley a few more times in life because it just isn't the kind of "you need this to survive" info I have to retain. I'll have a vague recollection at best. Surprise me again in three years?' joked another.
Mary-Kate and Ashley literally sang a whole song making fun of their kid sister, Lizzie, AKA ONE ELIZABETH OLSEN!
If this blows your mind, wait until you realize Mary-Kate and Ashley are fraternal, not identical twins!
