Twitter Is Roasting Adam Levine For Saying There's 'No Bands' Anymore (While Being In A Band)

If you were to ask me who the most popular band in 2021 is, I'd have to say the Jonas Brothers. This is my own personal bias as a Jo-Bro stan for 12+ years, but they're also totally dominating music right now. Well, they were before time stopped a year ago, but you know what I mean.

You know who else I'd say? Adam Levine Maroon 5! And Imagine Dragons! Coldplay! The 1975! And of course, the friggin Arctic Monkeys.

While there's no denying bands don't dominate the music charts the way they once did, they still EXIST.

Sure, everyone is obsessed with solo artists and pop music and awesome r&b, it's just a sign of the times! Music trends come and go, but rock n' roll is forever, amirite?!

Recently, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine said he believes bands are a "dying breed" and people can't help but be confused.

While chatting with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, Adam said: "It’s funny, when the first Maroon 5 album came out, there were still other bands. I feel like there aren’t any bands anymore, you know?"

He continued: "That’s the thing that makes me kind of sad, is that there were just bands."

"There’s no bands anymore, and I feel like they’re a dying breed. Maybe they’re not in the limelight quite as much, or in the pop limelight, but I wish there could be more of those around,” added.

While I understand the point he's trying to make, the phrasing was all kinds of wrong.

People on Twitter began having a little too much fun with Adam's comments.

Indie band Garbage asked Adam "What are we Adam Levine? CATS??!!"

One Twitter user invited Adam to "imagine some dragons" which truly made me LOL.

While there's no denying there's popularity around pop music these days, there are also a lot of great bands out there who are still ROCKIN!
