Woman's Viral Photo Is A Warning To Never Smash A Cake In Someone's Face

I'm definitely the kind of person who likes to have fun. Whether it's playing board games, having some good times outdoors, or enjoying my food, I'm all for it.

But even I draw the line at someone throwing a cake in my face. No, thank you. There's actually a good reason why you should think twice about doing that anyway. Let these photos come as a warning to you.

I know what you might be thinking.

Throwing a cake in someone's face is fun, right? Well, it might be fun for the person throwing it, but how about the one on the receiving end? If that was me, then nope.

Even if you're a good sport about getting hit with a cake in your face, there are still things to consider.

If it's just a one-tiered cake, you'll probably be okay. I don't see a problem with it at all.

However, if the cake in question has a few layers, that can be quite problematic.

Why? It's because a lot of tiered cakes can have wooden sticks or even PVC pipes inside. The bakers use these to help the cake stay in place.

Imagine if one of those wooden sticks became loose and hit someone in the face?

Or even worse, what if it actually poked them in the eye or something like that. It can be very dangerous, to say the least.

Now, an innocent and fun stunt like this could cause real harm to someone.

I bet whoever does wouldn't even think about the consequences. However, if something bad were to happen, they surely would be responsible for the damage they caused.

If someone lost an eye, that would impact their entire life.

There's also a possibility that even more harm could come out of this. I know it's quite unthinkable, but it is possible.

This woman posted about this issue on Facebook so she can warn others.

She could have lost an eye, or the stick could have damaged her brain and caused a permanent injury.

Wow, I can't even believe that. It's pretty shocking.

Most people who commented on the post admitted that they would never have thought of that.

They wouldn't have thought that something as seemingly innocent as this could have such dire consequences after all.

It makes you think, doesn't it?

Other people were pretty shocked that this is somebody's idea of fun.

I have to agree with them on that one. None of my friends would ever even think of doing that.

Maybe we just have a different sense of humor, that's all.

I like this lady's response as well.

I have to say that if anybody did this to me, I would be pretty peeved at them. Those aren't my kind of friends. Do you know what I mean? I would find it pretty annoying.

Then there's this type of reasoning.

I seriously don't understand why cake smashing is even a thing? To me, it's very wasteful and an expensive joke.

Those tiered cakes cost a pretty penny, no? So why would you think it was okay to smash it?

This woman's comment made me laugh out loud.

Who needs friends like that? Am I right? If this is what they do to have fun, I wouldn't want to see what else they come up with ha ha. No, thanks. I'll pass.

Oh my goodness, can you believe this guy?

No wonder he didn't last at the catering business that long. It's one thing for a regular person to think this kind of behavior is alright, but a professional? I think not.

Speaking of professionals, any bakery that makes a tiered cake should warn their clients.

They should specifically let them know if the cake contains any sticks to hold it up. Therefore no cake smashing would be allowed under any circumstances.

What do you think about that?

Do you agree that it's the bakery's responsibility to warn their customers? I believe it's the right thing to do. After all, they could get sued over something like this. It can also save somebody serious injury or loss of life.

Then there's this simple idea.

If you absolutely want to do a cake smash or think it's a funny idea to surprise someone, do this instead. It's a much safer alternative to throwing a full cake into somebody's face. Am I right?

I hope this story makes us all rethink our actions.

I know throwing a cake in someone's face sounds fun and silly. However, you absolutely need to, make sure the cake is safe if you want to do something like this. What's your take on it?
