10+ TV Best Friends Who Didn't Like Each Other In Real Life

If you ever question whether someone is a good actor, just look to the on-screen chemistry they manage to create with those they, well, hate.

That's right. Don't let on-screen chemistry fool you! There are many TV BFFs who secretly can't stand each other.

One pair couldn't even be in the same room as each other during filming! Here are 10+ of them.

1. Ariana Grande And Victoria Justice - *Victorious*

There were many "cat" fights between Justice and Grande, who played Tori and Cat, respectively.

When Ariana's spin-off, Sam & Cat was blamed for the show ending, she ended up calling out Victoria in the process.

"Sweetheart the only reason Victorious ended is because 1 girl didn't want to do it," Ari wrote, adding that Victoria chose to do a solo tour instead of a cast tour.

Justice didn't reply kindly to this, tweeting,

"Some people would throw some1 that they consider a friend under the bus just 2 make themselves look good. #StopBeingAPhony #IfTheyOnlyKnew."

2. Isaiah Washington and Patrick Dempsey - *Greys Anatomy*

ABC

While they began as professional rivals on Grey's Aantomy, the two doctors soon developed a friendship based on mutual respect.

But off-screen, their friendship was fractured when Isaiah made a homophobic slur toward another co-star, T.R. Knight.

After the actor was fired, he revealed that he had actually been standing up for Knight against Dempsey.

ABC

"[Knight] had led me to believe that Patrick Dempsey was so... horrible to people in a two-and-a-half hour conversation on the plane. For two and a half hours, this boy talked my ear off [about] how horrible Patrick Dempsey is and how he needs to be removed from the show," he told Houston's Chronicle.

3. Blake Lively And Leighton Meester - *Gossip Girl*

You won't find these two hitting up a NYC bar anytime soon.

Executive producer Joshua Safran told Vanity Fair: "Blake and Leighton were not friends. They were friendly, but they were not friends like Serena and Blair. Yet the second they’d be on set together, it’s as if they were."

4. Naya Rivera And Lea Michele - *Glee*

Fox

Their feud goes all the way back to Season One, with the late Naya saying that Lea didn't like sharing the spotlight.

"We are both strong willed and competitive - not just with each other but with everyone - and that's not a good mixture," she wrote in her memoir.

5. Dominic Monaghan and Matthew Fox - *Lost*

ABC

Dominic has long been vocal about his issue with Fox.

During a Twitter Q&A, he replied, "He beats women. No thanks" when asked to get Matthew on Twitter. Yikes! Fox disputed the claims in an interview with Men's Journal.

6. Jennie Garth And Shannen Doherty - *Beverly Hills, 90210*

FOX

Shannen was known for some bad behavior on set, including being difficult and even getting into a physical fight with Jennie Garth.

"There were times when we loved each other and there were times when we wanted to claw each other's eyes out," Garth wrote in her memoir.

"Shannen and I are both Aries women, we're both very strong, independent women, so we butt heads a lot," she continued.

But after Shannen put her hands on Jennie, this was the final straw.

Tori Spelling got her fired by calling her dad, the creator and producer of the series.

7. Nicollette Sheridan And Teri Hatcher - *Desperate Housewives*

ABC

While their characters may have brought casseroles to each other's houses, they couldn't be farther from that in real life.

There were many blow-ups on set, including the time it took them forever to get a cover photo for Vanity Fair.

It was so bad, *Vanity Fair* captioned the cover, "You wouldn't believe what it took just to get this photo!"

ABC

Nicollette also once called Teri the "meanest woman in the world because of how she was acting."

8. Betty White and Bea Arthur - *Golden Girls*

NBC

Betty believes that it was her positive attitude that rubbed Bea the wrong way.

"She was not that fond of me," White said in 2011 talk, according to the Village Voice. "She found me a pain in the neck sometimes."

9. Shannen Doherty And Alyssa Milano - *Charmed*

Jennie wasn't the only TV best friend Shannen couldn't get along with. She also had beef with Alyssa, who played her sister.

Things between the two stars got so bad that it was even reportedly why Doherty left the show after Season Three.

10. Ariana Grande and Jennette McCurdy - *Sam & Cat*

When Sam & Cat was unexpectedly canceled after one season in 2014, it was speculated that the two didn't get along.

It was also reported by TMZ that Ariana earned a lot more than Jennette, despite being co-lead.

When Jennette didn't attend the Kids' Choice Awards, she was quick to air out her grievances on Twitter.

"I was put in an uncomfortable, compromising, unfair situation (many of you have guessed what it is) and I had to look out for me. I chose to not go because sticking up for what is right and what is fair is what my mom taught me is ALWAYS the most important thing."

11. Julianna Margulies and Archie Panjabi - *The Good Wife*

CBS

While they played dynamic duo, Alicia and Kalinda, on the show, the pair reportedly couldn't stand each other during the three seasons of the show.

This even resulted in the show using split screens to give the illusion that they filmed together!

12. Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrel - *Sex and the City*

HBO

This was the kind of feud that not even a cosmo could fix.

“We’ve never been friends,” Cattrall said during an appearance on ITV‘s Piers Morgan’s Life Stories. "We’ve been colleagues and in some way, it’s a very healthy place to be.”

The drama between them reached a peak when Cattrall refused to film a third *Sex and the City* movie.

When Kim said that her relationship with her co-stars was "toxic," Sarah told People that she was "disappointed" in Kim's comments.

Kim also won't appear in the upcoming HBO Max *Sex and the City* revival, titled *And Just Like That*.

When a fan asked why Kim wouldn't be part of the revival, Sarah wrote,

"No. I don't dislike her. I've never said that. Never would. Samantha isn't part of this story," she wrote. "But she will always be part of us. No matter where we are or what we do. X."
