Fans Are Angry After 'Billionaire' Kylie Jenner Asks Fans To Donate To Friend's GoFundMe

There are a lot of things that celebrities get flack for that I personally don't agree with. I think rich people should be able to buy dumb, expensive stuff if they want to. However, when it comes to helping those in need, I think it's only fair that alleged BILLIONAIRES take on the role of helping others.

So when I say Kylie Jenner was asking her fans to donate to her friend's GoFundMe, I had to do a double-take.

Kylie Jenner has received a lot of backlash in the past for the way she spends her money.

And while I don't think it's fair to critique how much she spends on her 3-year-old daughter's wardrobe, I think it's completely fair to drag her for asking her fans to donate to her friend's surgery...

In case you missed it, Kylie's friend and makeup artist Samuel Rauda got injured in a car accident earlier this month.

It was reported that the makeup artist was thrown from a moving vehicle, suffering internal bleeding and eight brain injuries after hitting his head on the pavement.

After the accident, Samuel's family set up a GoFundMe with a goal of $60,000 to help pay for medical bills.

"He has a long road to recovery ahead of him. I know he is loved by many. Your donations will help cover the cost of his medical expenses and whats [sic] to come. Please know that a donation of any amount is greatly appreciated," the page read.

Samuel is one of the most popular makeup artist's to the stars, working with a number of A-list celebs and influencers.

Of those famous clients, only a few donated to Sam's GoFundMe. Bebe Rexha, Bella Thorne, and Sofia Richie were among those who contributed.

Another celeb to contribute was alleged billionaire Kylie Jenner.

After donating $5,000, Kylie shared the GoFundMe and asked her followers to donate.

Naturally, a multi-millionaire asking her mostly middle-class followers to donate did not sit well with a lot of people.

As you may recall, Kylie was declared the "youngest self-made billionaire" by *Forbes* back in 2019 at just 21-years-old.

The decision to name Kylie a "self-made" billionaire was controversial and eventually the reality star was stripped of the title.

It is now estimated that the 23-year-old is worth closer to $700 million.

Just $700 MILLION!

Please excuse me while I run and scream into the abyss for a hot second.

People quickly took to social media to shame the reality star.

"Kylie Jenner, who makes $19K/hr asking for $$$ from her fans to help her make up artist pay for a $60,000 surgery, is an excellent example of why we need universal healthcare. Even billionaire employers like Kylie and Walmart aren’t willing to pay for their employees' healthcare," tweeted one critic.

"It’s not even about the fact that she won’t pay for the surgery herself," echoed another.

"Every single last one of Kylie Jenner’s sisters is a millionaire. Her parents are millionaires. Her friends are millionaires. But she asked the MIDDLE CLASS for money. This family……" they concluded.

Writer Sophie Ross blasted the entire family in a series of fiery tweets.

"I hope this Kylie Jenner situation makes it very clear that when the Kardashians act like they 'donate behind the scenes' and 'do good that we don’t see,' it’s simply not true. They don’t donate [expletive], I promise," she started.

She continued: "They literally resell their designer clothes for profit."

"Do you know how much good they could do if they auctioned them off? Or donated them to a charity? Or did anything besides try to pocket $3000 more for something they likely got for free in the first place?"

Needless to say, Kylie's actions have sparked important conversations on social media. What do you think of the situation? Let us know in the comments below!
