Quotes For When You Respect The Mirror But It Doesn't Respect You Back

Have you ever looked in the mirror, even if just in passing, and found yourself stopped in your tracks wondering, "That can't be what I look like today, can it?"

If you answered "yes" then congratulations, you're part of a lucky group of people who respect their mirror's honesty, but also sort of wish maybe it was a little less brutal in its delivery.

If you also find yourself considering covering that thing up with a blanket some days, I think you're really going to enjoy these quotes.

Do I just not care anymore? Guess not.

I know there's a lot going on in the world nowadays, and looking picture perfect isn't exactly at the top of anyone's list. But come on, me. You own a mirror, you saw your reflection, and you still left the house like that?

Get it together, sis.

Why you lying?

Sometimes our mirrors can show us exactly the opposite of what we were expecting to see. Even if you're feeling like a total baddie, the second you step in front of that asshole he's going to prove you wrong.

And honestly, I think that's awfully rude of him. (Yes, my mirror is a him.)

Let's just say my personal standards haven't followed me into adulthood.

I can remember spending hours getting ready to go to school when I was a teenager, and I still wasn't always satisfied with how I looked.

Last week I did a grocery run at Walmart wearing my boyfriend's sweatpants and didn't even notice the spaghetti stains on them until I got home.

Count your blessings.

At least mirrors don't make a big thing about your reflection. The worst they do is show you how bad you look and then let you deal with that however you feel necessary.

If they actually followed that up with some comments, laughter, and rude pointing, then we'd all be in trouble. And we'd all be in for seven years of bad luck because mirrors would be getting smashed left and right.
