People Are Making Designer Purse Dupes From Paper Bags That Look Like The Real Thing

Who here admires designer bags? I definitely can appreciate a well-made bag. However, I, for one, don't like the hefty price tag. Somehow I can't bring myself to shell out $5,000 to buy that pretty Louis Vuitton tote.

But wait, now you can actually DIY one. What? Oh, yes, you can. I'm going to show you exactly how you can do it, too.

Okay, so now that I've got your attention, let's get started on this cool DIY project.

The first thing you need to get your hands on is a paper Louis Vuitton shopping bag. You know, one you would get from the store when you buy something.

So how do you get one?

Well, there are two ways. You can go to the store and buy something small. And I mean small, after all, it's Louis Vuitton, ha, ha! Or I'm sure you can buy one online. Look at places like eBay or Amazon or even Etsy. You're bound to find one.

Then you can use a tote-making kit that you can purchase from places like The Totery.

The kit comes with everything you will need to make an awesome dupe. You get a see-through PVC bag, handles, bottom insert, screws, washers, buckle hooks, round caps, and even a screwdriver.

Wow, how amazing is that?

I love it so much. First, according to a few TikTok videos you cut off the handles on your paper Louis Vuitton bag. Then, insert the bag into the PVC bag. Plan out where to poke out the holes for the handles.

Then you poke corresponding screws through the bag from its inside.

Now you can just affix the handles. How easy does that sound? I'll be honest I would never have thought of doing something like that. What a brilliant idea!

I don't know about you, but I think this bag looks absolutely adorable.

I know this isn't a real Loius Vuitton bag, but for a dupe, it looks pretty darn good, no? And it's so easy to make too all by yourself.

The Totery also provides these pretty and cute scarves you can attach to your bags.

They definitely give the whole creation that special touch. Don't you think so too? It is such a fantastic idea. This bag looks so stylish.

Who wouldn't want to carry this super cute bag around, huh?

I've got only one thing to say: Sign me up! Ha, ha! I'm not the best at DIYs, but I think even I could accomplish making something like that. What do you think?

So tell me, what do you think of this idea?

Is this something you would consider doing yourself? Or are you a die-hard fan of designer bags that you would never stoop to making a dupe like that? I actually love this idea.
