10+ Celebrities Who Are Nearing 100

In the midst of focusing on modern-day celebs, we forget that there are actually Hollywood staples who have been kickin' it for almost 100 years.

That's a lot of trips around the sun.

Some of these celebs are even still working today, with people like Clint Eastwood and Sophia Loren recently wrapping up films.

Here are 10+ celebs who are nearing the big 100.

William Shatner, 90

The Star Trek legend turned 90 this past March. But he still feels young at heart.

“I have so few minutes left in my life that I’m tasting each one with delight," he told Closer Weekly.

William Daniels, 94

People will recognize him most as Mr. Feeny from the ABC sitcom Boy Meets World.

He recently said that "love and family" keep him going as he ages. He also credits exercise for his longevity, which he shows off on Instagram.

Queen Elizabeth II, 95

At 95 years old, the Queen has made history: she's the oldest monarch to have reigned.

She's still agile these days, as evident by the time she shoveled in order to plant a tree for charity.

Morgan Freeman, 83

Few actors have had a career as prolific as the 83-year-old actor.

His distinctive deep voice could be recognized anywhere, as he's narrated several classic movies over the decades, such as The Shawshank Redemption and Million Dollar Baby.

Clint Eastwood, 90

Age is just a number for this famed actor who is still acting on film sets today.

When asked about turning 90, he told Ellen DeGeneres: “I sometimes think, when I was a little kid, and I used to hang out with my grandfather who was in his 90s, and I thought, ‘Jesus, who the h— would want to live this long.’ ”

Buzz Aldrin, 91

Back in 1969, Aldrin was the first person to set foot on the moon.

Since then, he has earned a medal of freedom, and become a household name for many around the world.

Tony Bennett, 94

Few are as musically talented as the 94-year-old star. One thing that may keep him young is his 54-year-old wife!

Fun fact: he met her while she was in the womb since he knew her parents before she was born!

James Earl Jones, 90

Like Morgan Freeman, Jones has a deep, distinctive voice you'd recognize anywhere.

The 90-year-old is even still acting today. Most recently, he reprised his role as the father in Coming 2 America, as well as narrating The Lion King.

Sophia Loren, 86

She's one of the last few Hollywood icons still alive. Sadly, others such as Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn have passed.

She recently returned to film after an 11-year absence to star in a Netflix film directed by her son.

Gene Hackman, 91

He's most known for his roles in The French Connection, Hoosiers, and The Royal Tenenbaums.

It's been many years since he's acted in anything, though, as he retired from acting. "The business for me is very stressful," he told Rueters in 2008.

Dick Van Dyke

When he made his cameo in Mary Poppins Returns, one thing was for sure: he's barely aged since the 1964 original.

He's still has a huge heart, too, as he was recently spotted giving out money to job seekers in need.

Angela Lansbury, 95

This Hollywood starlet turned 95 on October 16, 2020.

She's most known for playing Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast and then her role in Mary Poppins Returns as the Balloon Lady. What can't she do?!

Barbara Walters, 91

Few people have accomplished what Barbara has in the field of journalism.

For instance, she was the first female morning co-host of The Today Show. She is also one of the highest-paid newswomen in history. Hopefully, everything is looking up 20/20 for her.

Gena Rowlands, 90

While most probably recognize her as Allie in 2004's The Notebook, she's actually been acting in Hollywood for decades.

Her other famous movies include A Woman Under the Influence, Opening Night, and Gloria. Not too shabby.

Ed Asner, 91

The Mary Tyler Moore star isn't letting age slow him down. If anything, he's busier than ever lately, with several upcoming roles, according to his IMDB.

He's also a historic actor with seven Emmy Awards.

Tippi Hedren, 91

The Birds star has been kicking around Hollywood for decades. She turned 91 on January 19.

Fun fact: she's Melanie Griffith's mother and Dakota Johnson's grandmother, so we can thank her for bringing their talent into the world!

Sidney Poitier, 94

The talented actor has accomplished so much during his career. Most notably, he was the first Black man to win the Academy Award for Best Actor in Lilies in the Field in 1964.

With a title like that, he can enjoy retirement in peace.

Michael Caine, 88

Aside from the late Sean Connery, he's one of the most notable actors from the James Bond franchise.

And, since a new James Bond hasn't been picked, maybe they should give him a try? If anyone deserves a shot, it's him.

Betty White, 99

It's hard not to love this Golden Girls golden personality.

When she turned 99 back in January, she said the most adorable thing to the Associated Press: "Since I am turning 99, I can stay up as late as I want without asking permission."

Anthony Hopkins, 83

I love Anthony Hopkins and truly believe that he's one of the greats. That said, the fact that he was awarded the Oscar for Best Actor over Chadwick Boseman doesn't sit well with me.

What do you think? Was Chadwick robbed?

Estelle Harris, 93

NBC

Most people will no doubt recall Estelle from her days spent playing Estelle Costanza on Seinfeld.

Those with an ear for voices may have also already known that she also voices Mrs. Potato Head in the Toy Story franchise.

Jane Fonda, 83

I would be willing to bet good money that if you were to go digging in the basement of your mother's house, that you'd probably find a copy of Jane's workout tape scattered somewhere among the debris.

Martin Sheen, 80

Granted, Martin is still about two decades away from hitting triple digits.

But everyone knows that 80 is the new 60 — which means we should still expect to be seeing quite a lot of Martin in the coming years.

Mel Brooks, 94

Mel Brooks may not have invented film parody, but he came damn close to perfecting it.

Without Mel's incredible influence, the world would never have known films like Space Balls, Blazing Saddles, and my personal favorite — Young Frankenstein.

Bob Newhart, 91

Many will no doubt recall Bob from his heartwarming role as Papa Elf in the modern-day Christmas Classic, Elf.

Prior to that, Bob had his own series called Newhart, which ran for eight years. Here's to hoping it gets picked up on Amazon Prime!

David Attenborough

You may not be able to instantly recall David Attenborough's face, but his voice will be instantly recognizable to millions around the world.

David has spent the last 20-plus years narrating various docu-series for the BBC, including The Blue Planet and Planet Earth.

Berry Gordy, 91

If it weren't for Berry Gordy, music, as we know it today, would probably not exist. That may sound slightly hyperbolic, but it's true.

Berry is the founder of Motown Records and over the years helped launch the careers of countless artists, including Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson.

June Squibb, 91

Did you happen to catch June in Adam Sandler's Hubie Halloween? I know the film got a lot of flack overall, but I for one think that it gets more hate than it deserves.

Plus, it was lightyears ahead of Jack and Jill — so that's saying something.

Johnny Gilbert, 92

Johnny Gilbert has been the voice of Jeopardy! for going on 40 years. He's also in the Guinness Book of World Records as the Longest Running TV Announcer in history!

Although Alex may no longer be with us, his memory and legacy live on through Johnny!

Robert Wagner, 91

No, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. That really is 7th Heaven's Barry Watson snuggled up oh so closely with Robert Wagner.

In real life, Barry is married to Natasha Gregson Wagner, which makes Robert Barry's father-in-law.

Jack Nicholson, 84

No matter how many times I see The Shining, I always get nightmares as if it were my first time watching it. Few horror films, if any, have had that kind of lasting power.

Do you remember the scene with the twin girls in the hallway? That gets me every time.

Al Pacino, 81

I sincerely hope that The Irishman isn't the last time that we get to see Al Pacino on the big screen.

At 81-years-young, the iconic actor is still at the top of his game and has plenty left to offer.

Woody Allen, 85

Not much is seen or heard from Woody Allen these days. At one time, he was considered to be a titan of the film industry.

But in recent years, it's his bizarre and controversial personal life that seems to be taking all the headlines.

Chuck Norris, 81

What's your favorite Chuck Norris joke? I think that mine would have to be "There is no chin on Chuck Norris' beard; only another fist."

At 81-years-old, this legendary martial artist would still have no trouble roundhouse kicking half of Hollywood's leading action stars.

Tommy Chong, 82

Tommy Chong is more than just a pothead. He's a comedian, an activist, and a beacon for change. I recently watched Up in Smoke for the first time in years and it still holds up.
