As PEOPLE reported, 8-year-old Lilly began her life with a very difficult struggle.

Born with cancer, she battled the disease for the first year of her life. Even though she didn't have the opportunity to enjoy her early childhood like most us did, Lilly has never let anything hold her back from pursuing her dreams.

Lilly wanted to celebrate being cancer-free in a big way.

In celebration of being seven years without cancer, this little girl wanted to do something big.

As a member of a Girl Scout troop in San Bernardino, California, she was determined to show the world that there was nothing that could stop her from having the cookie-selling season of a lifetime.

She wanted to make a difference.

For Lilly, it wasn't just about selling lots of cookies. It was about providing for her community.

With the help of her parents, she donated about 5,000 boxes to other children battling with cancer in the hospital. She also sent some of those boxes to homeless communities and to deployed troops.

Even at such a young age, she knows that everyone deserves to be cared for.

She also broke the cookie sells record.

In just one single season, Lilly sold approximately 32,484 boxes which broke the national Girl Scout record. She and her parents worked tirelessly both before and after school to sell boxes and prove that everyone is worth support and no dream is unachievable.

Let us know what you think of this touching story and if Lilly's resiliency has inspired you.
