Katy Perry Admits She's Stopped Shaving Her Legs Since Becoming A Mom

Like every single mom out there, Katy Perry is an unstoppable force. She balances her work and personal life like a total boss and knows the importance of prioritzing so when I heard the new mom has stopped having her legs since giving birth, I couldn't help but think yeah, that makes a lot of sense.

Katy Perry is one of the most talented people on *earth* okay? The 2010's would have been nothing without her and her music.

So naturally, when I heard this superwoman was giving preggers with a beautiful baby girl, I was so excited for her!

Katy and fiancé Orlando Bloom welcomed their baby girl Daisy Dove Bloom in August of 2020.

The couple told fans: "We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter."

Since then, Katy has been keeping it real with fans about the highs and lows of motherhood.

Speaking with Elle last year, the 36-year-old said "'[Daisy] is the greatest gift I’ve ever received."

"I think what children do, in general, is teach you that all you need is love."

"I’ve had my breaking points," she admitted when asked how she’s stayed positive while parenting during the pandemic.

"I made a conscious decision to become a mother, but I didn’t know until I became a mother that you have to strike a balance. [Motherhood is] all the clichés and more."

"Let me tell you as someone who has done and seen everything, there’s nothing better than having a beautiful, pure child," she continued.

"They’re just the epitome of love."

She went on to explain how having Daisy has made her love herself more, and take her health more seriously.

"When you think about me and my career, a lot of it has had food metaphors in it – that’s probably because I had such a fantasy, love relationship with food."

"Now I’m doing much better. It’s been amazing eating plants and whole foods."

"Some things really changed inside of me with having a child and feeling so much love," she told the publication.

"I don’t feel the need to eat bad foods or drink alcohol as much."

Now, the new mom is opening up about how her grooming habits have changed postpartum.

During Sunday's episode of American Idol because YES, that show is STILL ON, Katy got candid about her leg hair.

I don't know about you all, but I can't imagine shaving would be on a new mom's top list of priorities!

After listening to a moving performance from American Idol contestant Cassandra Coleman, Katy said: "Your voice is a spiritual experience. It is otherworldly, angelic.

She continued: "As a new mother I don’t have very much time, so I’ve quit shaving my legs."

"But when you sang, the hair on my legs grew an inch and a half. Full-body chills! It was amazing," Katy concluded.

Katy even gave her fellow judges a glimpse of her stubble, as she stretched her legs out on the table.

And this is exactly why we love Ms. Perry!
