Fans Upset 'Space Jam 2' Features 'Clockwork Orange' Cameo After Cutting Pepe Le Pew

Rae Batchelor

There has been no shortage of controversy over Warner Bros. decision to remove beloved character Pepe Le Pew from the upcoming Space Jam 2 . Many fans have assumed this decision was due to the way Pepe behaves with female characters without their consent. Because of this, a particular cameo in the new trailer for the film has fans upset at the company's supposed hypocrisy when it comes to this issue.

The new trailer for Space Jam 2 has had people talking, but one moment in particular has attracted a lot of attention.

In the trailer, there's a brief moment where the characters from fellow Warner Bros. property A Clockwork Orange can be seen watching the events unfold. Their all white outfits, bowler hats, and canes identify them as the Droogs, which were a violent gang in the film.

Many fans have found the inclusion of these characters a direct contradiction of the backlash against Pepe Le Pew.

"Warner bros : let’s take out Pepe le pew for future projects including space jam , he’s a lil yeaaahhhh... Also Warner bros : you know what we need for space jam ... clockwork orange and pennywise cameos," one fan tweeted.

Fans were not happy.

"They removed Pepé Le Pew from the movie, yet they have the Droogs from 'A Clockwork Orange' in it. They have no problems with a gang from an X-rated movie being part of a family movie," one fan pointed out.
