People Are Using Chalk To Make Epic Outdoor Game Boards

If you're in a situation where you're facing another lockdown, listen up. I know it's not easy to keep your kids entertained and occupied. It's that much tougher when they can't go to visit anyone.

But there are a few things you can do right in front of your house. I'm going to share with you this cool outdoor game board idea.

Now that the weather is getting nicer, it's really important to ensure that your kids get outside.

Fresh air is that much better for them than staying indoors all day. And I can't stress enough how healthy it is to get physical exercise.

But what can you come up with that's fun for the kids to do outside, you ask?

How about making something with chalk like a board game? What's that? Well, it's basically what it sounds like. Kids can create plenty of cool games using plain, old chalk.

If you have a driveway, you already have the perfect place for the kids to use then.

But if you don't, you can take them to another area that allows for this. Either way, I'm sure you can come up with something.

I'm going to share with you some of the cool games other people came up with for their driveways.

That way, you too can get an idea of what your kids can do. For example, the kiddos can draw a huge Snakes and Ladders game board.

One of my favorite chalk games as a kid was Hopscotch.

I could literally play it all day long, ha, ha. What about you? Did you play it as a child? It's so much fun. Isn't it? I could probably enjoy it, too, now.

Another awesome game that you can easily transplant outdoors is chess or checkers.

It's so simple to draw the board on the ground with chalk. I think it would be so interesting to play this larger-than-life version of it, no?

And who can forget Twister, huh?

That's always a lot of fun. It's basically the perfect chalk game to play outdoors. You don't have to worry about finding space in your house for it. Just draw it on the ground outside and go for it.

I really love this shapes recognition game you can do with your younger kids.

It's such a great way to teach the kiddos to recognize different shapes. The possibilities of this game are pretty much endless. You can teach them about shapes, sizes, or other things you can do here.

Oh my goodness, I absolutely love this.

I'm a such proponent of getting kids outside. And what's a better way than to participate in some fun, interactive, and educational activities, huh? Do you dig these ideas, too? Let me know in the comments below.
