Have you ever stumbled upon a DIY house decor idea on Pinterest and thought, "I could do that, too"? Well, if you have, then you're pretty brave. Ha, ha! I'm a little wary of stuff like that.
But I have to admit — sometimes it does work out. It did for this lady who recently posted her accent wall DIY on TikTok.
She wanted to create a funky accent wall in one of her rooms. But she didn't want to do anything too expensive or permanent.
Let me show you exactly how she did it. First thing's first, she painted the walls in her room a pretty green color.
Of course, she thrifted those to keep the cost down. Then, she just painted them all using the leftover paint she had from doing the walls.
So she laid them all down on the ground to plan everything out. Once she had the idea, she started putting them up.
Then she used a level to ensure everything was straight. Once all the levels were correct, she hammered in the nails, hung up the frames on the nails, and voilà!
Megan did so by placing a few strategic art pieces in the frames. Otherwise, the wall by itself would look rather bare. Don't you think?
Wow, that's quite the difference, no? Of course, once she posted her how-to video on TikTok, folks started liking it and commenting on it. The consensus was that most people really dug this idea.
Most of the people were saying they want to do it too. I'm not surprised, to be honest. It is such an easy idea to pull off, and it looks super cool indeed.
I've got to say once I saw it, I totally loved it. I might actually do something like this in the future when I have my own house.
