Celebrity parents will pretty much always be walking a really thin line when it comes to how their actions are taken. Whether it's spending money on expensive gifts for them or throwing elaborate parties, some fans think that flaunting wealth for your child might not be a great look.
Khloé Kardashian is the latest celebrity to have her choices related to her daughter put under a microsope.
After all, everyone thinks that their way of raising kids is the right way! So when a celebrity parent makes a post about doing something differently, it can ruffle a lot of feathers.
A common theme when this happens is money.
Cardi recently made headlines when she shared a video showcasing herself purchasing designer bags costing upwards of $29 thousand dollars for her 2-year-old daughter, Kulture.
Some fans felt that was pretty wasteful!
For some parents, there isn't a limit on what they would spend on their kids if they had the kind of money that celebrities have, but for others, teaching children the value of money is more important.
For some fans, the issue can be about waste. Big, elaborate parties for children can leave behind a lot of waste, from balloons to uneaten food to wrapping paper — the list goes on.
To celebrate True's 3rd birthday, Khloé held a huge party, featuring multiple Disney Princesses as guest as well as an incredibly large number of balloons, which she showed off both throughout the house and concentrated specifically in a bedroom.
"These balloons probably cost more than I make in a pay check. It kinda makes me sick to my stomach," one fan wrote in the comments.
"Do you and other celebrities ever think how much of this excess ends up in the landfills?" another added.
"So incredibly wasteful," one fan wrote. "Just because you have the money doesn't mean you need to be overly excessive. LESS IS MORE."
"The environmental impact of all of those balloons is enormous," another added.
"Too elaborate for a 3yrold, she won't even remember," wrote one commenter.
Not everyone was against the party, though, and some fans spoke up for Khloé in defense.
"It's her child and she can throw whatever kind of party she wants," one fan wrote in response to the criticism.
"You're a bunch of killjoys! Kids love balloons, it was her birthday, they threw a big party! You all need to get over it!" they shared.
"Don't be jealous!" another fan left in reply to a critic.
