People Are Making Merry-Go-Rounds For Their Chickens From Old Bike Tires

Some people love their dogs and create fun playhouses for them. Others adore their cats and build them elaborate hiding castles. But then, there are those folks who really care for their chickens.

If you're looking for a fun activity for your hens, I've got a good one for you. Something tells me that you're really going to like this idea.

So what do you do to keep your chickens occupied and happy in their coop?

I recently told you about a cool idea to hang up cabbage so the chickens can peck at it. It's a great exercise idea and a good snack for the birds.

But there's something else I recently stumbled upon I want to share with you.

Did you know that folks are recycling their old bicycle wheels and making fun merry-go-rounds for their chickens? Oh, yes, that's right. It's an idea I would never have thought of, that's for sure.

Now that I see it, I totally get it.

Doesn't this look like a lot of fun? Oh my goodness, ha, ha! Whoever came up with this idea is pretty genius. Don't you think so, too? Wow, that's so cool.

So as you can see, the idea is pretty simple, really.

All you need to do is disassemble a bike and remove the wheels. Then you attach the wheels to an area in your chicken coop where it can spin.

When the chickens jump on the wheel, they get to go for a fun ride.

Ha, ha, I think it's absolutely awesome. They must get such a kick out of it. I wonder how somebody came up with this neat trick.

As it turns out, I'm not the only one who thinks this is a brilliant idea.

People on Facebook have been loving it too. Many of them said that they, too, need to come up with one for their chicken coop.

This lady mentioned that she has some finicky chickens that won't even play on a swing.

So she's curious if this contraption would pique their interest. Hmm, I guess some chickens are very picky indeed. I hope it works out for her.

You can set something like this up in your chicken coop or any outdoor area where the chickens play.

I think it's just another cool activity for them to be able to enjoy. Those chickens are such smart little creatures. Aren't they?

Is this something your chickens would enjoy?

Are they typically a pretty playful bunch? I bet if you set this up, they will be on it in a jiffy. It can definitely provide hours of fun for the whole coop.
