It's been almost two years since HBO's Game of Thrones wrapped up, but Emilia Clarke still has a soft spot for the series.
It launched her career, after all, as she was fresh from drama school when she auditioned for the role of Daenerys Targaryen.

Ever since the hit HBO show has wrapped up, Emila Clarke has refused to be typecast.
Instead, she’s taken great strides in her career with movie roles. This began with her high-profile role in the Christmas-themed rom-com, Last Christmas opposite Henry Golding.
She starred opposite HBO alum, Jack Huston, along with True Detective’s Kevin Dunn and Boardwalk Empire guest star Chris Mulkey.
It's a great film to watch if you want to hear Clarke's Southern accent.
According to Variety, she will join the already-reported cast of Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Olivia Colman.
Jackson, for instance, will reprise his role as Nick Fury.
Speaking of Game of Thrones, we can't forget that her role as Daenerys Targaryen was her first major role when she was fresh out of drama school at 23.
This included the would-be Queen turning into a murderous tyrant like her father, The Mad King, before she was killed by her lover, Jon Snow.
"I had my own feelings about it that were peppered with my feelings about Emilia. You have the growth of the character and the growth of me running along with it." she continued.
She also got honest recently about the three upcoming Game of Thrones prequels.
The only one given the green light so far is House of the Dragon, which is based off of George R.R. Martin's Fire and Blood novel.
“Godspeed, everyone! You do you, you go, Glenn Coco!” she told said. “It’s just inevitable. I wish you all the best, it’s gonna be whatever it will be.”
“Of course they’re doing more,” she added. “You can’t create something that big and not have people go, ‘And? What else? This is really good! Let’s do loads more!”
She also extended well wishes to the upcoming House of the Dragon co-showrunner, Miguel Sapochnik.
"I love him completely, so I have no doubt that's gonna be an enormous success, because he's just a genius," Clarke said. She also reflected on her early days of working on GoT.
"And it was beautiful for that. We were all very much in the moment that we were in, and very unaware as to how it was going to be received, what people were going to think, who we were going to be at the end of it."
