Kate Middleton's Sweetly Honored The Queen In One Of Her Latest Outings

There few things as special to a family legacy as heirloom jewelry. There is something so special about sharing a sentimental piece of jewelry between family members, and no family knows this better than the Royal Family — of course!

Recently, Kate Middleton was spotted wearing a special pair of earrings with a tie to Queen Elizabeth in honor of her 95th birthday.

The Royal Family is known for their extravagant jewellery *of course*. I know right, the most obvious statement ever.

However, it extends to much more than just tiaras and crowns. As fans know, Kate Middleton was given Princess Diana's sapphire engagement ring when she became engaged to Prince William in 2011.

Now, the Duchess of Cambridge is sporting another sentimental jewellery piece.

As fans may know, Queen Elizabeth II recently marked her 95th birthday while driving the loss of her beloved husband, Prince Philip.

While her day was celebrated quietly, Kate was sending her support and love with a meaningful pair of earrings.

While on a visit to the Air Cadets 282 East Ham Squadron on Wednesday, The Duchess of Cambridge wore a pair of diamond and pearl earrings.

At first glance, they may seem like a simple, classic earring but they were a family heirloom borrowed from Her Majesty!

The earrings were first worn by the Queen back in 1977 during her silver jubilee tour.

In addition to the earrings, Kate and William both wore black during Wednesday’s engagement, following the death of Prince Philip at age 99 earlier this month.
