Fans Think Chadwick Boseman Was 'Robbed' After Being Snubbed For Best Actor At The Oscars

The world was shocked and saddened when actor Chadwick Boseman, best known for his role in Black Panther, passed away at the age of 43 after a lengthy and private fight with cancer.

Many fans were hoping to see the actor honored at the Academy Awards this weekend, but they left disappointed and angry with the showrunners.

Chadwick Boseman was nominated for Best Actor for his performance in *Ma Rainey's Black Bottom.*

Many fans felt that he not only deserved the win for the role, but also deserved it as a way to honor his legacy and contribution to the film world before his passing.

The Best Actor category was also moved to the end of the show instead of the usual Best Picture, which lead many fans to believe they had a tribute planned for Chadwick winning.

However, the award went to Anthony Hopkins for *The Father* instead, which had many fans feeling mislead.

"Chadwick was robbed of his award and they changed their layout so best actor was last, which made ppl think he would end up winning, only to lose when it was one of his last chances to win a major award for his incredible, and unforgettable acting," tweeted one fan.

Fans felt like the show was using Chadwick and his passing in order to get views with no intention of honoring him.

"We aren’t just upset that chadwick lost..we’re upset at the fact that the academy used him for views and literally profited off of his death?" tweeted one fan.

"I don't even care about Chadwick losing, but the fact that the Academy used him a bait makes me mad," another added.
