People Are Putting Mailboxes In Their Gardens For A Clever Storage Hack

Who here is gearing up for the upcoming gardening season? I sure am. In fact, I'm collecting all my tools as we speak. I can't wait to get working away to create the most amazing outdoor oasis ever.

But the work doesn't start once you build a garden. There is plenty of upkeep needed, so when I saw this clever storage idea, I had to share it with you all.

Do you ever find yourself in this situation?

Let me paint it for you: You're sitting in your garden when you spot some weeds. Now you need to run inside to get your tools but, of course, you're too lazy.

What if there was a smart way to store all your small gardening tools right where you need them?

As it turns out, there is! And this idea is probably the cutest one I've seen recently. Let me tell you all about it.

So get this, people are reusing old mailboxes or putting up new ones in their garden.

Why? Well, it's because they're the perfect storage solution for all those small gardening tools you frequently use. Oh wow, why haven't I thought of that?

Now you don't have to run inside the house or rummage through the shed to get your tools.

Instead, they're waiting for you right in your garden. Oh my goodness, what a neat idea, huh? I'm totally digging this strategy.

You can buy a small mailbox for less than $15 at places like the Home Depot.

Or if you need a bigger one, it shouldn't run you more than $30. Granted, you wouldn't be able to store all your tools in there.

But you can absolutely fit all your smaller tools in the mailbox.

It will save you lots of time when you spot something that needs fixing right away. And when the mailbox looks as cute as this, it's a win-win.

Perhaps your neighbor has an old mailbox they no longer use.

You can paint it over and make it the prettiest one you've ever seen. Check out how gorgeous this one looks here. I bet there are tons of wonderful designs you can find.

Speaking of pretty designs, what do you think of this one?

It definitely looks like a fun DIY project, no? You can get your kids to help you paint it. I think it would be a great project you can do together.

Okay, this settles it, I'm putting up a cute storage mailbox in my garden.

Don't you think this is such a clever idea? Who needs to run into the shed to look for tools when you can have them right then and there?
