Woman's Hack For Fixing Scratches On Hardwood Floors Baffles People Online

TikTok has been my go-to lately for all sorts of life hacks. Whatever you can think of, chances are there's a video hack for it on TikTok.

So recently, I was wondering how to get rid of scratches on hardwood floors. And what do you know, there's a video that demonstrates an unusual way to do just that. Check it out.

A TikTok user, @endpin123, posted a video that has since gone viral.

In it, the user explains that she accidentally put a scratch on her hardwood floors. But she was advised to try something rather unusual to fix it. Want to know what it is?

Apparently, you can rub some nuts on the scratch, and it will come right off.

OMG, what? That can't be right, but alas, it is. This lady wanted to find out for herself, so she tried three different nuts to test this theory.

First, she tried a walnut, and yes, what do you know, it took the scratch right off.

Then she tried a pecan, and the same thing happened. Oh my goodness, that's pretty incredible. Am I right? I have to admit this is fun.

Lastly, she tried to repeat the same thing with a pistachio.

Sadly it didn't work out so much. Therefore, she went back to the walnut. And she was able to get rid of the whole thing once and for all. Wow! Isn't that amazing?

Needless to say, people on TikTok were pretty shocked.

Many of them commented that this was indeed a great discovery. Some wanted to know how she found out about this hack. Apparently, a violin player told her about it. Aha!

Think about it, it does make perfect sense.

After all, nuts have oils in them, and that's what makes the scratch disappear. But it works best on shallow scratches and not those that are deep inside the wood, so keep that in mind.

As it turns out, some folks already knew about this hack.

Some of them found out about it from their parents or even grandparents. Isn't that so neat? It's pretty awesome when you learn useful stuff like this from your family or, in this case, TikTok, hee, hee.

Other people suggested that you can simply get walnut oil to do the same job.

Oh, nice. That does sound like a great idea indeed. After all, I would rather eat my walnuts than use them on my hardwood floors, lol.

So, have you tried this hack before? Did it work out for you?

Currently, I don't have hardwood floors, but I do have a wooden kitchen table. I wonder if it would work as well on it too? What do you think?
