TikTok User Turns Thrifted Curtain Rings Into A Boho-Chic Vase

When it comes to DIY, no one does it like upcyclers do.

See, upcyclers love to take items that people would normally throw away and turn them into super cool projects, thus giving the otherwise discarded items new life!

Take a vase, for example. On its own, it might be boring. But for DIYers, a vase is a blank canvas!

Here's what we're going for:

We're going for a more boho vibe with some wooden ring vases today! TikTok user @studioconscious decided to thrift most of this DIY, because saving money is everyone's jam.

We'll need a few supplies.

The vase you choose should be a little narrower than your curtain rings. Unscrew the eyescrews from the rings before popping them on the vase, and face the holes towards the wall so that no one can see them!

Stack 'em up.

Use hot glue to keep them in place! I would start at the very bottom for this hack. Make sure you have enough rings to cover the whole vase, or it'll look a little goofy.

Boom, a cute vase.

See, that took no time at all! This vase is the perfect place for some tall, faux greenery. It would look awesome next to some white vases, too.

BUT WAIT. You can make other decor with wood rings, too!

Once you've unscrewed the eye screws, line the ring up along a sturdy surface and snap it into two pieces. If you have a handheld saw, use that instead. Duh.

Grab your glue and start interlocking the half-circles.

This is going to be a tedious process, but the result is worth it. To avoid getting your halves mixed up, bag them individually and take them out as needed.

Add some paint!

Interlinking trinkets are pretty popular right now, so this DIY is perfectly on-trend and perfectly cute! I love that the supplies are cheap as heck, so anyone can try this project out.
