Prince William Says Daughter Princess Charlotte Tells Everyone She's 16 After Turning 6

It's hard to believe HRH Princess Charlotte has just turned six years old. It feels like just yesterday the middle Cambridge child was born and now, she's 6 going on 16? Well, that's what her father, Prince William says.

As someone who hated being a child myself, I can relate to Princess Charlotte's desire to grow up, however, I think we can all agree it's best she doesn't rush it. Now that I'm a middle-aged adult — I don't understand what all the fuss was about!

It's already been 10 years since the world tuned in to watch Prince William and Kate Middleton tie the knot.

2011 was such a different time, and so much has changed since then —headphones are now wireless, iPods are non-existent, and Kate and William have welcomed three children!

In celebration of the pair's 10 year wedding anniversary, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released a sweet video of their family of five.

"Thank you to everyone for the kind messages on our wedding anniversary. We are enormously grateful for the 10 years of support we have received in our lives as a family," the pair captioned the video.

Fans couldn't believe how grown up the children looked!

Recently, Princess Charlotte celebrated her sixth birthday.

As per tradition, the Duke and Duchess released a photo taken by them to mark the occasion.

She looks just like her dad — so sweet!

In fact, the picture totally blew up on social media, causing the dress the Princess was wearing to sell out shortly after.

The frock, made by acclaimed children's designer Rachel Riley, became the fastest-selling item in the brand's 25-year history.

*Hello!* magazine chatted with the designer, who had no idea the Duchess had chosen one of her dresses for the special occasion.

"It was such a treat to see! It was a delightful surprise, I wasn’t expecting it at all and was gardening at the time!"

"I became aware of the picture when my friends and family started sending me messages asking if the dress was one of ours!"

The dress was such a hit, it sold out in 12 hours — that's six months worth of inventory gone in half a day!

"We had so many messages from customers asking if they could still order it, so we set up a pre-order system and it will be back in stock in a few weeks," she explained.

"It's our fastest selling royal item, ever!"

It's clear the Princess is destined to become a style icon like her mother.

"Personally, I think the Duchess of Cambridge always gets it just right when it comes to her fashion choices," Rachel gushed. "She combines high street with designer, wears lots of British brands and is known for wearing outfits on several occasions."

The designer concluded:

"I have no doubt that Princess Charlotte will become as much of a style icon as her mother is and I look forward to seeing Princess Charlotte's style develop as she continues to grow and mature."

Now, Prince William is giving fans an insight to his daughter's sassy side.

On Tuesday, Prince William told reporters that Princess Charlotte will say she's 16 when asked how old she is.

"She also says, 'I'm six now. I'll do what I want.'"

According to *Hello!* magazine, Charlotte had a special birthday.

"She had a lovely day, thank you," said William, as per the publication.

"Last year it was her birthday in lockdown but this year we were able to have one other family over. They grow up very fast. It was great fun."
