People Are Divided After 20-Year-Old Shares Private Video From Matthew Perry After Matching On App

Dating in 2021 does not seem easy. In fact, it seems really, really difficult. Forget that there's a global pandemic — people don't just meet anymore. People don't just go on dates anymore. Kids these days meet online and then "hang out" in random places. Now, call me old fashion, but this is not how a true, long-lasting relationship should start.

I'm glad I met my husband my husband when I did, I don't think I could handle online dating.

While the websites do seem easy enough to grasp, it's the phone apps that really send my head for a spin.

How are you supposed to know if you're compatible with someone from just seeing their picture for 3 seconds before swiping right or left?

However, it's not just your children using these apps, it's celebrities, too!

Of course, they don't use the same ones as "regular" people, they use an exclusive app called Raya.

Raya only allows public figures onto the app to make it easier for rich, beautiful people to date each other — as if they need more help from the universe!

Earlier this week, fans were regaled with a tale of a young woman who matched with Ben Affleck on this app, only to delete him when she thought he was a catfish.

Shortly after, the actor sent her a video on Instagram asking why she deleted him.

Needless to say, the video went viral.

Kate Haralson, who was 19 at the time, shared a video on the social media app of when she matched with Friends alum, Mathew Perry, now 51, on Raya.

Kate, now 20, shared the footage of herself with the caption: "When you match w, Matthew Perry, as a joke on a dating app and he facetimes you and plays 20 questions with you."

In the 16-second video, Matthew can be seen smiling as he asks Kate "Do you always play with your hair this much?" to which she responds: "I guess so."

Kate, now 20, is a personal assistant who told Page Six on Thursday that she wanted to show how older men in Hollywood are "taking advantage" of younger women on dating apps.

Kate claims the FaceTime exchange happened last May, which is when Matthew was on a break from his current fiancée Molly Hurwitz, who he had been dating since 2018.

"A lot of people were saying I'm a bully and mean for posting this, and it made me feel kind of bad, but at the same time, I feel like a lot of guys in Hollywood are talking to all these young girls and it's something that I think a lot of people should be aware of," she told Page Six.

Needless to say, the internet is divided about Kate's decision to share the videos.

Their significant age gap has also raised eyebrows online. What do you make of the situation? Let us know in the comments below!
